Oppo F11 Pro Review 2019

Oppo F11 Pro Review 2019, Oppo F11 Pro costs Rs. 24,990, which presents it against the likes of Poco F1 and Asus ZenFone 5Z

In search of Bezle-Lace Smartphone, we have seen manufacturers have adopted three different ways to adjust front-facing cameras - nach, hole-punch display and pop-up modules.

However, every phone manufacturer has adopted wide notches, it seems as though the punch-hole and pop-up designs are slowly getting steam.

Oppo F11 Pro

Oppo F11 Pro Review

Oppo F11 Pro is the newest smartphone to sport a pop-up selfie camera, and its price is much lower than the last few examples such as Vivo Nex (review) and Oppo Find (X) review. Should you be the only reason to consider buying this smartphone or is there a lot more to it? We review the Oppo F11 Pro to find out.

Oppo F11 Pro Design of Oppo F11 Pro

Oppo has released some well-designed phones, and recently using gradient finish for most of its models.

OPPO F11 Pro ₹ 24,990 is not an exception, and Thunder Black and Aurora are available in Green. Our unit was Thunder Black variant.

The rear panel is dark blue on one side and purple on the other side, black in the center. It reminds us of Oppo Find X, 59,990, which had a similar finish. When you look at the device, almost all the displays on the front side are with the thin bezelles on the top and the edge, although the lower chin is relatively thick.

Oppo F11 Pro's display is 6.5 inches and this phone boasts a 90.9 percent screen-to-body ratio.

There is no such number in this place. Instead, the selfie camera at the top has been moved to a motor driven pop-up module. This module only keeps selfie camera and every time you launch it or use face detection. Since it is a motorized module, we are not sure how reliable it will be in the long term. Some drops can harm the system.

This phone also sports a secondary microphone and has an ambient light sensor at the top.

Oppo F11 Pro has thin bezelles upwards and a long earpiece

The earpiece is just above the display, which is long and narrow and is located between the frame and the display. The proximity sensor is on the left side of the earpiece and neatly hidden.

OPPO has pre-installed a screen protector on the display, which is a thoughtful addition, considering that third-party screen protectors can cause a problem with the proximity sensor. The company also holds a protective case in the box which works well with pop-up selfie cameras.

At the bottom, there is a Micro-USB port in the phone, which is disappointing to see that budget smartphones such as the Nokia 5.1 Plus Review 10,100 (review) and Samsung Galaxy M20, 9 10,990 (review) run in the modern USB Type-C went. standard. There is a 3.5mm audio jack with a micro-USB port, a microphone hole and a loudspeaker grille.

The frame of Oppo F11 Pro seems to be made of plastic but it does not look gaudy. Oppo has placed the power button on the right side while the volume buttons are on the left. All three are well positioned and easy to reach. The hybrid dual-sim tray is placed just above the power button.

• Oppo F11 Pro has a pop-up selfie camera

• It runs ColorOS 6 on top of Android 9 Pie

• 4000mAh battery helps deliver great battery life

This phone has a dual camera setup on the back deck at the center, which is on a slightly raised strip. The capacitive fingerprint scanner is just below the cameras and it is easy to carry.

Oppo F11 Pro has curved sides that make it comfortable to capture, although at 191g it is more heavier than average. In the box, Oppo sends a pair of earphones along with a 20W VOOC Fast Charger, which helps you to quickly charge the phone's 4000mAh battery.

OPPO F11 Pro Specification, Software & FEATURES

Oppo F11 Pro stands out from the other smartphone in sub-rs. Thanks to its pop-up selfie camera, 25,000 markets This hardware, which is acceptable, but not extraordinary. Powering the smartphone is an octa-core mediaTech Helio P70 SoC that has four Cortex-A73 cores and four Cortex-A53 Corps.

This processor has been kept with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The strange thing is, the Oppo F11, which was launched with the Pro model, has 128GB of storage, but the Oppo F11 Pro does not. You have the option of expanding the storage using a MicroSD card instead of the other SIM.

Oppo has opted for the 6.5-inch LCD screen with full-HD + resolution (1080x2340 pixels). It's crisp and the viewing angles are good. You also get the option to tweak the color output of the display according to your choice.

Connectivity on OPPO F11 Pro includes Dual 4G as well as VOLTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS / A-GPS.

The pop-up camera raises up on F11 Pro when you want to make a selfie click

Oppo F11 Pro Ship with ColorOS 6, running on the top of the Android 9 pie. This is a significant change compared to older versions of ColorOS based on Android Oreo. The new UI is minimal and has a clean look in it.

Move down the notification and you'll see an oversized toggle button, which is easy to identify. The screen brightness slider is at the bottom, so it is within reach when using the phone with one hand.

Either press the volume button to change the volume and you will see oversized sliders next to the button on the display. This is similar to Xiaomi's implementation in MIUI 10.

OPpo has also done some twins for UI navigation. You can choose between the traditional three-button navigation layout or two-button navigation system, similar to stock 9 on the Google Pixel 3 Review 59,799 (review) series. When using later, you have to swipe on the bullet-shaped Home button to switch between the recently used apps.

We have several apps, including OpenOpero, Theme Store, Music Party, and Ormming as well as Facebook, UC Browser, PettyM, Vine Music, Deliunt, WebNewel, NewsPoint, Amazon Shopping, and Sharechat, on Oppo F11 Pro. Got it .

Hot Apps and Hot Games are apps that look like folders at first glance, but in reality Oppo is part of the appstore. Google apps also come preinstalled. The amount of bloaterware is high, but most of this can be uninstalled to cancel the smartphone.

Dual camera setup has a 48-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel depth sensor

Like the old OPPO smartphones, there is a smart driving mode, which is automatically turned on when the phone goes to the car's head unit via Bluetooth, whereas the riding mode is a new addition. It excludes incoming calls and puts everything on the mute.

Gestures are also available and when it is closed, you can launch the app by dragging alphabets on the screen.
Oppo has also implemented different power saving modes in the Settings app. They work by stopping to run unnecessarily in the background.

A super high power efficiency mode is available which closes some background apps, disables automatic data syncing, closes vibration, and reduces the brightness of the screen to minimize power. is. There is also a sleeping mode that helps in reducing battery drain when the device becomes inactive.

There is a new look in the game space. This is a place where all the games installed on the smartphone are visible.

This app also claims to customize the performance of your game by clearing the RAM before launch.

You get an option to block calls along with banner notifications during gaming. There are also three modes - High Performance, Balanced and Low Power Consumption. How much resources do they allocate to the phone when you play a game? PUBG is compatible with mobile game APIs of OPpo and we have seen abanner notification that the phone has been optimized for gaming.

Clone App lets you run two instances of supported apps including WhatsApp and Facebook. Our review unit was running the February safety patches recently.

OPPO F11 Pro Performance, Battery Life and Cameras

We have tested the Helio P70 processor in the Realme U1 999 9 99 (review) with the recently launched Realme 3 (review).

The price of OPPO F11 Pro is much higher than these two smartphones, and when it comes to performance, there is not much difference between them. While scrolling through the menu while multitasking, you will not see lag or stutter.

The 6GB RAM helps F11 Pro to keep the background app in memory, which helps when you are jumping between several apps.
We were curious to see how facial recognition will work to consider the camera module, every time you want to unlock the phone, it will have to pop up. Our experience took just a little more time for just one second, to slide out the selfie camera, scan our face and slide back down.

There are two options for Face Unlock, one that activates the moment you hit the power button, and the other that you need to swipe before the lock screen. The phone enhances the brightness of the screen in a dark environment to ensure a proper face scan.
The fingerprint scanner on OPPO F11 Pro is fast and able to quickly unlock the smartphone.

Oppo F11 Pro Oppo phone ships with colorOS 6 on top of Android 9pi

To see how Oppo F11 Pro runs against some other smartphones in its price range, we run some benchmarks on this. In AnTuTu, Oppo was able to see F11 Pro 1,47,303, which is less than 1,78,570 Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro (review). F11 Pro scored 1,544 and 5, 937 respectively in single-core and multi-core trials of Geekbench 4.

These scores are also lower than the Redmi Note 7 Pro, which managed to score 2,389 and 6,593, respectively. Oppo F11 Pro scored 37fps in GFXBench's T-Rex graphics test and managed 7.4fps in the car chase test.

We played Asphalt 9: Legends as well as PUBG Mobile for gauge display. Smartphone PUBG is set to Medium with Balanced and Frame Rate, with graphics set by default on Medium settings for Mobile. With these settings the phone can play games with no significant interval or hackle.

Bounce the quality and start a bit stutter. Asphalt 9 went to default settings and was playable, but we did occasionally stutter notice in some racetracks.
Loudspeakers are loud enough to enjoy gaming and watch videos.

The big 4000mAh battery is here for a purpose, and it does well. In our HD Video Loop Test, the phone has been able to last up to 20 hours which is effective. With our use, which has an active Whatsapp account, playing PUBG Mobile and Asphalt 9 Legends for a total of 30 minutes, running some benchmarks, navigating for two hours using Google Maps and taking some photos, the phone was still 24 hours At the end of this, 46 percent of its battery is left.

We had a smart phone running with all the power-saving tasks. You can get better battery life by enabling some of them. After playing two quick matches in PUBG Mobile that ran for about 11 minutes, we noticed only 3 percent of battery dropped.

OPPO thoughtfully planted a 20W VOOC charger in the box, which helps to charge a large 4000mAh battery quickly. After we completely eliminate the battery in our video loop test, we plugged it into the charger. The F11 Pro went up 46 percent in 30 minutes, and it took around 1 hour 45 minutes to fully charge. We saw that charging speed slowed after reaching 80 percent of the battery.

The 48-megapixel primary camera on Oppo F11 Pro is quite advertised, and we wanted to see how true it is to Oppo's claims. This camera has a f / 1.7 aperture and it has been connected with a 5-megapixel secondary shooter.

OPPO's camera software is minimal and the mode selector is at the bottom of the screen, while the quick toggle is located at the top. Photos, videos, and portrait modes are easily accessible, while pano, expert, time-lapse, slow-mo, and nightscape mode are tucked in sub-menus.

There is a quick toggle in the new Chroma Boost feature and so does HDR, which we left on Auto. The camera app also has AI scene recognition which is switched by default. Beautification is available and you can set the level of beautification according to your liking or you can turn it off altogether.

While Oppo bumps the primary rear camera of 48-megapixels, it is set to capture 12-megapixel shots by default. If you switch to full resolution, you'll remember features such as chroma boost, hdr, filter, beautification, AI visual recognition, continuous shooting and even zooming. Apart from having high resolution, we did not see any significant differences in quality.

While shooting, the phone was quick for meter shots for light and lock focus. Daylight shots taken with F11 Pro were Crisp and they had a good amount of detail. The identity of the AI scene was intensified in determining what we were shooting and could set the camera accordingly.

When shooting against light, the camera automatically enables HDR. The colors of macros were accurate and they were quite elaborate. Portrait mode uses secondary sensor to differentiate between topics and backgrounds, and adds a good Bokeh effect. There is no customization available to adjust the level of blur.

Photo without a noisy cap (top), Photo with night-cap (below) on Oppo F11 Pro. Tap to see full-size samples

The photos taken in the night had very little noise and the output was not grainy. The phone managed to capture a good amount of detail, and the objects were recognizable at a distance.

We found that the Oppo F11 Pro took more time to lock the focus in the night and sometimes we need to tap to focus. The NightScape mode works in low light and takes shots using long exposure.

It gives bright results, but we see detail loss while photographing the landscape. Chroma Boost is said to improve the dynamic range of photos and is used during shooting against light. We saw an increase in colors, but in some scenarios the shots looked a bit artificial.

The selfie taken with a pop-up 16-megapixel front camera had accurate colors and good details. While taking a shot against light we saw that F11 Pro sometimes overxposes the background.

Video recording is a maximum of 1080p for both primary, as well as selfie cameras, which is slightly disappointing since most phones at this price point, 4K video recording. Thankfully, image stabilization is available and helps to distribute the video without too much shock.

Oppo F11 Pro Decision

Oppo F11 Pro's pop-up camera frees up space at the top of the display for a sleek, modern look. Yes, this is a dynamic mechanism and it can be damaged by drops or dust and frozen dirt, but it is also a great thing. The battery life of this phone is impressive, and the VOOC Fast Charger helps to get the battery up quickly.

There is nothing like the pop-up Selfie camera and good battery life that actually tells about the Oppo F11 Pro.

The company could send this phone with 128GB storage so that it could get better value for money.

Realme U1 (review) provides the same processor and now Rs. Starts with 10,999 Xiaomi's Redmi Note 7 Pro offers better processor and similar battery life. 14,990 If these options were not enough, then F11 Pro Poko F1 ₹ 20,459 (Review) and Asus ZenFone compete in the same price range of 5Z (review), both offer very high value for your money. So if the pop-up camera is not really important to you, then there are many other options too.
